EuFoA Rountable with Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan

On 20 March 2014, EuFoA organised a roundtable with Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan, focusing on the prospects of EU-Armenia cooperation. In the past, our NGO planned a series of events along these lines, such as last year's roundtable with the secretary of the Heritage faction in the Armenian .................Parliament, and the February 2014 event by CES.

Charles Aznavour awards Baroness Cox in Geneva

On Monday, 25 November 2013, Ambassador and Maestro Charles AZNAVOUR personally awarded The Charles Aznavour Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Fostering Europe-Armenian Friendship to Baroness Caroline COX. The prize was created by EuFoA and the Europe-Armenia Advisory Council.

Joint FPC-EuFoA event in London on Nagorno-Karabakh

On 9 October 2013, the London-based Foreign Policy Centre and EuFoA, organised a panel discussion on the current situation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, with EUSR Ambassador Lefort as keynote speaker. EuFoA was glad to see many participants and government representatives attending.

EuFoA event in Yerevan on Karabakh conflict

On 11 July 2013 EuFoA organised a panel discussion in Yerevan about the current situation of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process: "Looking at Europe's next avoidable war: Nagorno-Karabakh". We were delighted to see so much interest from civil society, media and some institutional representatives at the event.

Roundtable briefing on security challenges for Armenia

Using the occasion of the visit to the NATO headquarters of 6 Members of the Armenian Parliament, EuFoA organised an ad-hoc round-table briefing with them on Wednesday, 19 June 2013. The meeting focused on security challenges which Armenia is facing given its geo-strategic situation.

Post-electoral briefing on the presidential elections in Armenia

On 26 February 2013, European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) held a post-electoral briefing dedicated to the presidential elections in Armenia which took place on 18 February 2013. Over 30 representatives from the European institutions, international organisations, NGOs and media participated in the event.

The second meeting of the Europe-Armenia Advisory Council

The second meeting of the Europe-Armenia Advisory Council (EEAC) took place in Yerevan, Armenia between 15 and 19 February 2013, a timeframe chosen specifically in view of the Armenian presidential elections held on 18 February. During the visit the second General Assembly of the EAAC took place on 16 February.

Two TNS polls commissioned by EuFoA ahead of the 2013 Presidential elections in Armenia

On 9 February 2013 TNS opinion presented the second of the two opinion polls commissioned by EuFoA ahead of the Presidential Elections 2013. The polls were conducted by TNS opinion, the world leader in opinion research and custom/ad hoc research together with their Armenian partner IPSC.

On Monday 29 November 2010, EuFoA Secretary General Michael Kambeck and Andrew Cooper, CEO of the UK based opinion polling company Populus, presented the results of the Comparative Opinion Polls held in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh on Socio-Political Issues and Foreign Relations.

Round-table with the Armenian Prime Minister

On Friday 12 November 2010, Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr Tigran Sargasyan, visited EuFoA's Brussels office. During the course of this visit, the Prime Minister participated in a roundtable discussion. Representatives from think tanks, diplomatic circles, NGOs and Media also participated in the event.

Concert of the Caucasian Chamber Orchestra in the European Parliament

On Tuesday, 26 October 2010, MEP Milan Cabrnoch, Chairman of the Delegation to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia, organised a concert by the Caucasian Chamber Orchestra in the European Parliament in Brussels. The event was held in collaboration with, among others, EuFoA.

Round table on Association Agreement negotiations

On Tuesday 6 July 2010, EuFoA held a round table at its Brussels office with Mr Gunnar Wiegand, Director for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia at DG Relex. The subject of the round-table was the new and upcoming Association Agreements negotiations between the EU and Armenia.

The first meeting of the Europe-Armenia Advisory Council

The meeting took place on 28-30 May 2010 in Larnaca, Cyprus and was chaired by Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, MEP and Vice-Chair of the EPP Group. It focused on perspectives of the EU-Armenia partnership, especially in the context of the forthcoming Association Agreement negotiations.

Housewarming Reception

On 7 July 2009 EuFoA held a housewarming reception at its new permanent premises, which was attended by over 50 guests. The purpose of the reception was to formally launch the organisation and introduce its goals, and to welcome cooperation with interested parties.
