Post-electoral briefing on the presidential elections in Armenia

On 26 February 2013, European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) held a post-electoral briefing dedicated to the presidential elections in Armenia which took place on 18 February 2013. Over 30 representatives from the European institutions, international organisations, NGOs and media participated in the event.

The second meeting of the Europe-Armenia Advisory Council

The second meeting of the Europe-Armenia Advisory Council (EEAC) took place in Yerevan, Armenia between 15 and 19 February 2013, a timeframe chosen specifically in view of the Armenian presidential elections held on 18 February. During the visit the second General Assembly of the EAAC took place on 16 February.

Two TNS polls commissioned by EuFoA ahead of the 2013 Presidential elections in Armenia

On 9 February 2013 TNS opinion presented the second of the two opinion polls commissioned by EuFoA ahead of the Presidential Elections 2013. The polls were conducted by TNS opinion, the world leader in opinion research and custom/ad hoc research together with their Armenian partner IPSC.

On 18 October 2011, European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) held a roundtable at EuFoA's office with Mr Karen Andreasyan, Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia. Representatives from the European institutions, international organisations and NGOs were present at the event.

Presentation of the Armenia and the Nagorno Karabakh polling results in Brussels

On Monday 29 November 2010, EuFoA Secretary General Michael Kambeck and Andrew Cooper, CEO of the UK based opinion polling company Populus, presented the results of the Comparative Opinion Polls held in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh on Socio-Political Issues and Foreign Relations.

On 16 November 2010, European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) and the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) held a joint policy briefing with Mr Armen Harutyunyan, Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia and Ms Jacqueline Hale (Open Society Institute) as discussant.

Round-table with the Armenian Prime Minister

On Friday 12 November 2010, Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr Tigran Sargasyan, visited EuFoA's Brussels office. During the course of this visit, the Prime Minister participated in a roundtable discussion. Representatives from think tanks, diplomatic circles, NGOs and Media also participated in the event.

Concert of the Caucasian Chamber Orchestra in the European Parliament

On Tuesday, 26 October 2010, MEP Milan Cabrnoch, Chairman of the Delegation to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia, organised a concert by the Caucasian Chamber Orchestra in the European Parliament in Brussels. The event was held in collaboration with, among others, EuFoA.

Round table on Association Agreement negotiations

On Tuesday 6 July 2010, EuFoA held a round table at its Brussels office with Mr Gunnar Wiegand, Director for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia at DG Relex. The subject of the round-table was the new and upcoming Association Agreements negotiations between the EU and Armenia.

The first meeting of the Europe-Armenia Advisory Council

The meeting took place on 28-30 May 2010 in Larnaca, Cyprus and was chaired by Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, MEP and Vice-Chair of the EPP Group. It focused on perspectives of the EU-Armenia partnership, especially in the context of the forthcoming Association Agreement negotiations.

On Wednesday, 2 December 2009, The German Marshall Fund of the United States, in partnership with European Friends of Armenia and Stratim, Center for Strategic Communication organized a public debate on the Armenia-Turkey rapprochement.

NATO Week Conference

On Tuesday, 13 October 2009 in Yerevan, EuFoA hosted a conference entitled "EU and NATO - how to secure stability for Armenia and the South Caucasus". The event was organized in the framework of NATO week in Armenia, and co-sponsored by NATO.

Housewarming Reception

On 7 July 2009 EuFoA held a housewarming reception at its new permanent premises, which was attended by over 50 guests. The purpose of the reception was to formally launch the organisation and introduce its goals, and to welcome cooperation with interested parties.
